I am Mindy, wife to Robert, momma to Hill and the owner of The Buttercup Boutique and Little Fox Fabric Shop which can both be found on Etsy.
A little background on me...
I have a degree in human development and gerontology from Colorado State University which is where I also met my sweet husband. I graduated in 2006 and began my career working in a long term care/rehab facility. In the same building I worked in activities, social work and then finally as the admissions coordinator. ( I have slight job ADD! )
My husband and I were married June 22nd, 2007 in Black Forest overlooking Pikes Peak (which is where Robert proposed)
And then of course after all the festivities life had to go on and we moved in to a teeny little rental and worked, worked worked! Honestly, not many exciting things happened as we were both starting out in our careers and worked long hours.
We bought our first home in 2009 and not more than 3 months later found out I was pregnant, which was a completely unexpected event!
Hill was born on November 24th, 2010 and from that moment on my entire life changed.
I had to go back to work when he was 6 weeks old and it completely broke my heart and became the catalyst for opening up my first store, The Buttercup Boutique, on Etsy. I started it with the goal of being able to stay home one extra day with Hill, which I quickly accomplished. After about a year and a half of working full time at both my day job and Etsy I realized I had been making enough to quit my day job and take on The Buttercup Boutique as my full time job.
Now My days are filled not only with lots of sewing, but with this cute little dude (and big dude) as well.
